Dating Handicapping Tip #9: Realizing conditions

In horse racing race conditions refers to the conditions of the race. The conditions could be anything from wet to dry track, or dirt to turf. The change in the track conditions can determine the outcome of the race. A sure thing could turn out to be a long shot if the conditions are not suitable.

This would be similar if you started dating when you or your potential mate has unresolved issues, or baggage. Often we ignore these conditions because we so desire the relationship, but we do not have patience to wait until the conditions improve.

There are always conditions that change people and relationships. These changes may not affect how we feel about ourselves or our loved one, but often they change the relationship. These are just a few uncontrollable factors of life and love.

1.Availability
– It never fails. You meet that someone special only to find they are involved with someone else. What do you do? For many that answer would be, “Anything.” Yes, it is a popular statement to say you’d do anything for love. But if you disrespect a potential love’s current relationship, how do you expect anyone to respect you and your relationships? To take pride and satisfaction from breaking up a relationship is not love; it is selfishness – not a condition worth betting. True love would be waiting until your potential love’s conditions improve.

2. Change of Life – Starting a new job, moving to a new town are all conditions that should raise red flags. I’m not saying relationships cannot survive a change of life, but they are risky. There are tons of variables with change of life – meeting of new people, focus and sometimes stress and anxiety. Place this wager with care, because once life settles you can’t be sure it will settle with you.

3. Personal changes - Life happens and people change. Sometimes it is a death of family member, or close friend. Or perhaps, you may experience a near miss-accident that changes your perspective on life and love. No matter how much you love or care for someone, certain changes can alter lives and break apart relationships.

4. Health – One way to attract a mate is the condition of health. Perhaps you meet the man of your dreams who just happens to be healing a broken leg. The perfect opportunity to show off how much you care – what a lovely, loving person you are. This is great, but what happens when he can walk again. Misery.

Single or in a relationship these condition could completely alter the course of your or your love's life. While handicapping relationship conditions there are some fundamental things to consider. Taking bets on when conditions are no so great is always risky.
