The assigned gate plays an important role in the race. The horses in position closest to the rail would obviously have the benefit of running a shorter distance. Those in the middle of the pack often fight to gain position and don't forget the horse on the outside. No doubt as a jockey positions the horse for the most effective race, so must we position ourselves for dating.
Obviously to make a play you need to be in the game. You need to get yourself seen and you need to make yourself available. How you do this not only increases your chance to score, but also find a winner.
1. The Inside track - In the quest for love you need to be noticed and even more so stand out from the crowd. This can be done superficially and even sneakily. But you need to be careful. Cleavage and short skirts may get you on the fast track of the bedroom, but it doesn't necessarily get you into the winner’s circle of marriage. Also having insider knowledge of your perspective love's interests and life may give you a lift, at time it may backfire if privacy is abused.
2. Middle of the Pack - for many daters this is the easy route. Too many are scared of standing out too much. You may attract the wrong attention or make an ill advised move that will set you back. Best bet if caught in the middle, stay sure and confident as the competition falls away. You may at sometime, toward the end of the race come out on top.
3. The Outsider - for those with the inside track and caught in the middle it is the ones on the outside who actually have the best chance of winning in love. Why? They are free – free to be themselves, free to hold back, free to make a move. The outsiders come out of nowhere often blindsiding the competition.
The thing to remember what ever gate you come out of, there is an opportunity to win. You just need to understand the race and all its players. Be smart. Be daring. And be prepared for what you find. It could just be love.
