The spectators in dating would be society. Society sets the rules and expectations. The prying of society watches and rates nearly every relationship. Society wagers which couples will divorce and which ones will last. Society will dictate how we play the game (date) and who we date. Society judges what we wear on dates and our physical condition.

Often times as fans at a sporting event came influence the outcome, so can society influence relationships. Society will set upon undo pressures on relationships that don’t follow by the normal rules. So who do you succeed when society seems to be betting against you?
